Goals and Objectives
The goal of Southwest Pharmacist Recovery Network is to provide support and encouragement to:

- Pharmacists/pharmacy students/pharmacy technicians in recovery
- Those dealing with pharmacists/pharmacy students/pharmacy technicians who are struggling with the disease of chemical dependency.

The network serves as a:

- Resources for intervention and treatment information
- A provider of help in the establishment of programs for pharmacists/pharmacy students/pharmacy technicians.
One goal of SWPRN is to foster the growth or implementation of a program in every state and college of pharmacy.

Sharing the experiences of programs that have been operating for a while and capitalizing on their success, and avoiding the pitfalls can be of great benefit to those getting started.

Protecting public health and safety while reaching out to save a colleague’s career, and perhaps life, is the ultimate goal of SWPRN. Education and early intervention can help accomplish that goal.
